If there is no official plan from conference organizers (they deserve a break!), I suggest this process:

- Allow 10 days (until August 25) for anyone to suggest ideas for how to organize this, what social networking site to post to, etc. (Respond to this thread.)

- After this brainstorming time and integrating those ideas, anyone who wants to "grab the ball and run with it" can propose to do so.
